Our first stop on May 1st was Lake Manatee State Park. We got here about 2 pm. Since it was our first day we didn’t want to go far in case we had to work out any kinks. So far so good.
We got caught up in traffic by Sarasota. We had a Lamborghini stuck right next to us. I noticed it was going as slow as we were. I thought they were race cars. Duh.
This state park is so nice. Beautiful camp sites, facilities and trails. Not sure why it’s called Lake Manatee unless it’s shaped like a manatee. Manatees don’t really live in fresh water. But apparently alligators don’t mind.
Now when I saw this sign I knew I would not be swimming. As I was trying to get to sleep last nite I could only think of one person I would invite swimming. That lady that keeps calling me about my extended warranty on a car I no longer own. The alligators would get a nice meal and I would get less phone calls. It’s a win win.
Anyway Gary hit a home run with this park.
Makes me wonder if Lamborghini guy has an extended warranty.
